Excellent hotel and definitely 5 star worthy.
Location: It is situated in the heart of everything. It is next to Königsallee, where all the high end shopping is. It is similar to the Rodeo Drive of Beverly Hills or the Champs-Élysées or Paris France. On the opposite side, there are many restaurants and bars to frequent if you so choose all within a stone's throw from the hotel. Everything you need or want is within walking distance.
Hotel: It is very clean, the décor is very contemporary with very European influences. There is a grand stair case on the right when you enter and the check-in desk is right after the staircase. There is the living room which has refreshments such as tea, coffee, soft drinks, along with some snacks such as fruit, crackers, candies, etc. It also has a very nice Michelin rated restaurant called Brasserie 1806. I did not get to eat dinner there but would definitely go back. I did not get a chance to check-out the spa/fitness but I was told it was very nice with an excellent pool.
Room: I had the Capella Suite for two nights. As it is in the heart of Dusseldorf and with Germany beating Italy in the UEFA Euro 2016, it was very loud with lots of horns honking and people celebrating but that was to be expected and would have been a completely different feel if they had lost. The Capella suite had a large living room area with a very large and comfy sofa and a office desk. Behind the desk were bookshelves with several books which made the room feel like home. The minibar was free which included coke, Coca-Cola zero, orange juice, apple juice, sparking and still water. There was tea and also coffee maker. There was a small bathroom with heated floors. The bathroom was quite small and the door when opened looked like it would hit the sink area but it was nice to have a separate bathroom in the living room area. The entire suite was equipped with touchscreens to control lighting, drapes, etc. The bedroom was very large and the bed was supremely comfortable. The nightstands on each side both had plugs built-in to the drawers inside the night stand along with touchscreens. The bathroom was very large and included a huge walk-in shower, a Jacuzzi tub, and a toilet with a bidet. The views were ok. The room was very clean and large and I would highly recommend staying in the capella suite.
Service: The service was excellent. Lucas, guided me around the hotel and the room and was very helpful in planning things for me and giving me directions to where I needed to go. He helped open doors for me and always addressed me by name. I had called about aspiring and it was brought up within 5 minutes at around 3AM. The service was top notch and the service alone is worth the visit. The personal assistant was very helpful in getting us reservations to a sushi restaurant and also referred us to an excellent vegan restaurant near the Rhineturn.
Recommendation: I would highly recommend it and would definitely come back if and when I get a chance.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Gina E.Miami, Stati Uniti1451051827 giu 2023

5 stars is not enough.....
My colleague was able to swing some very competitive rates when he booked six months ago. During the trade show we were here to attend, they go for $2300 per night. They were less than $600 when we booked many months ago. That is actually competitive when compared to tiny horrible places we have stayed before for about $400 a night. My company is generous and understanding so this type of hotel is definitely a treat. Hard to call my wife back home to describe the marble interior, the spiral staircases, the private living rooms, fully stocked and complementary mini fridges, waterfall showers, huge tub, bidet, electronically controlled drapes, luxury towels and robes, turn down service, killer bed and pillows, garden views, perfect location next to Old Town, fast wifi, the most amazing complementary breakfasts and killer lounge. Yes, dear, business travel sucks.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Sara D.Manhattan, Stati Uniti515177105323 mag 2012
Lovely hotel with a good restaurant and great late night lounge
Brasserie 1806
Located in the Breidenbacher Hof hotel, Brasserie 1806 offers a tasty breakfast and an enticing dinner menu. Each morning we looked forward to the delicious eggs and fresh squeezed orange juice. For dinner we devoured the veal meatballs and the original Wiener Schnitzel.
The chef's offering of veal tartare, fried blood sausage and Dusseldorf beer was a delicious introduction to dinner. CD couldn't get enough of the pate and French bread. The cheese plate was also incredible.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Saint G.Amburgo, Germania0715 gen 2017

I love this hotel, the staff are always friendly and helpful. The food in both the restaurant and lobby is excellent as is the ambiance. My family have come and stayed in the hotel and had nothing but great things to say about the comfort and ammenities in the rooms. Definately an much needed addition to Düsseldorf, hope it remains a step ahead of all the rest.
