British Car Auctions

My niece needed to buy her first car so was shopping on a budget and my friend (a mechanic) agreed to take us to the auction.


It started at 10am so get there early to look at the cars on the list as they sell quite quickly and go through up to a 100 a day.


We had a look around and saw a few bargains we were going to bid on and then it was just a case of waiting. when it came to the bidding it was really exciting. Seeing Mercedes and BMWs going for under a grand and in fairly new condition. My friend explained that a lot of cars with high running costs are hard to sell so go for less money..took note for my next car.


When the cars are coming up near the auction ramp they open the cars so you can inspect them closer but do bring a mechanic with you.


Unfortunately my niece came away empty handed but we all ended up driving a car back to my mates garage as he couldn't help himself and bagged a few bargains.


Be careful when bidding as there is also a fee payable which worked out to be between 15-20% of the purchase price.
