Great restaurant with outdoor seating, but sitting inside this restaurant is a MUST.
I walked past this location several times, once at night, and in the morning when I was looking for a quiet café with outdoor seating for just some coffee. After sitting outside for a while waiting for a server, I decided to walk in. I was not disappointed to say the least.
The quaint interior and decor was extremely pleasant to the eyes which made the dining experience the more spectacular. The seats, tables, chairs, cloth, drapes, curtains, windows, and all else replicated a past time in our history.
The food and beverages were great. The coffee was amazing, and the Wernbacher fruhstuck spread was more than enough for one person. My friends met up with me later, both of whom who ordered the eggs benedict. The plates they ordered looked marvelous. I believe the buffet-style brunch is offered on Sundays only, but the breakfast menu itself is quite ample and sufficient.
Overall great experience here, and would definitely spend a weekend morning here for breakfast again.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Xhning N.San Diego, Stati Uniti0515 ago 2022
We had breakfast here on the last day of our stay. Four of us orders 4 different breakfast sets. They were all good. I really liked the matata. The only problem is the hot chocolate wasn't hot. I wish it could be hotter. The prices were reasonable. The people were helpful and friendly. I recommend this place without hesitation. Will try again next time.

What a fantastic spot for a very high-end breakfast. The combination I chose came with prosecco and coffee. Fresh fruit, eggs, meats, cheeses and bread. it's a beautiful patio and a wonderful place to have breakfast on a quiet street.

Our first stop in Salzburg. Unfortunately we didn't get to have a meal here because the kitchen was closing just as we came in mid afternoon. However, the waitress was very nice and I sampled a couple of beers. My wife got the ham and cheese sandwich (they were able to manage that despite the kitchen closure).
The place is clean, and has a bit of charm stylistically. All in all a quiet and relaxed atmosphere.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Bill F.East Aurora, Stati Uniti15527 lug 2019
Stopped for dinner with a party of four in a pinch while raining and staying at the nearby Sheraton. Yikes! Everyone was hungry but I would have gone hungrier to keep looking further. Basically a boring American menu with a second-rate staff. The place would have been empty if not raining, as no self-respecting tourist or Austrian would want much on this menu. I could get this stuff at any local bar in the US. Ugh! If you want food that resembles Salzburg, walk on by. If you want food reflecting an old-man bar in Cleveland, then have at it. Waste of good Euros as far as I'm concerned.

Our first stop in Salzburg did not disappoint! My boys and I stopped in here on a whim and were greeted immediately with a warm and cozy decorated space. Despite our very faltering German, our waiter was very kind and showed us immediately to a table while providing us with English menus. Very much appreciated!
We sampled a number of things: the Viennese Noodles with Ham, Ham & Cheese Toast, Cream of Potato soup and the chicken burger. The noodles were perfect for a cold rainy night. Little squares mixed with bits of ham and green onion. Oh so savory and good! The ham and cheese toast was simple but very well executed and the potato soup was the star of the evening. I have promised my boys to learn how to make it hopefully nearly as delicious. The chicken burger was more like a chicken sandwich and my son devoured it.
We shared a raspberry chocolate cake and a layered torte for dessert. OMG. So good.
I'd like to go here again tomorrow, but I think we will branch out a bit. I highly recommend them though.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John N.Oxford, Oxford, Stati Uniti056 apr 2018
It was a beautiful afternoon in Salzburg and decided to give this place a try! I had the chicken sandwich with homemade chips !! Excellent combination !! For desert I had a shot of expresso with 2 scopes of vanilla ice cream and fresh whipped cream !! Again awesome !!
They do have an English menu all you need to do is ask. Even with only two serves outside they did a great job keeping up with everyone that came. Will definitely be back this weekend !!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Yiwen S.Santa Clara, Stati Uniti64255815498 giu 2011
cute little cafe - one of many along franz-josef-strasse right across from mirabell gardens.
we had dinner outside on the terrace. love that every restaurant and cafe has a large outdoor seating area, hate that every other person in europe smokes. no, i don't want secondhand smoke with my food, thank you very much.
i ordered some pasta dish that came with ham and green onions. i forget the name of it because i can't understand german to begin with. it came with a house salad filled with dark greens and a delicious house vinaigrette - probably the best dark green salad i've had in a long time (i hate salad).
the pasta was cut up into small squares and slightly curved. even the ham was cut into small pieces, which i think really allowed the chef to cook this dish to maximize the flavor of each ingredient. the meat was juicy, the pasta was chewy but not overly-so, and the light creamy sauce was the icing on top of it all.
and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg. bravo!Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Michelle E.Chino Hills, Stati Uniti1301514 lug 2017
This café was absolutely wonderful!! I highly recommend for anyone seeking a nice relaxing dinner on the patio. The food was delicious. My husband had the goulash with dumplings and it was a generous portion of home cooked comfort food. My daughter had the wienerschnitzel and it was made with veal and was magic on a plate!! I enjoyed the steak sandwich, which came with bacon, chicken, and a fried egg on top and I was in Heaven. Our waiter was charming and helpful. We had coffee and heiße liebe and it was scrumptious! The only annoying thing was the Euro smokers, but what can you do about that? We chocked it up to being in a foreign country. We will come back here before we depart!

Great small cafe to grab a bite to eat before we started our sound of music tour. My mom ordered the ham and cheese toast which was a sandwich and quite tasty. I ordered a small goulash (which was huge) and a small salad. Both were excellent!
