Eiffel

A restaurant that probably sees itself as a bit funky (although it's probably that funky it wouldn't ever dream of using the word 'funky'). It's a little hard to describe the food here. The name of the restaurant would suggest it was modern French cuisine, and I suppose that's the main theme, although the inclusion of pasta dishes confused the personality.


My main of scallops on mango and lime chutney was generally well cooked, although the salt crust was far too thick. The scallops are accompanied by a basil sorbet that didn't quite work. My main of spaghetti with prawns in a tomato and curry(!) sauce was better, although not fantastic.


The problem with this restaurant is mainly that the surroundings (and the foodie twists, like my basil sorbet) suggest you're getting something better than the food on offer.

You should come to Eiffel if you have a Ferrari, or a Lamborghini, or a Porsche, so you can park yours next to other people like you that also have a Ferrari, or a Lamborghini, or a Porsche. And if you don't have one you can still come here to watch people that not like you do own a Ferrari, or a Lamborghini or a Porsche.
Don't get confused you will not get your car oil changed here because the only oil changed and hopefully often enough is the oil of your schnitzel.
This is where upper Kudamm residents meet lower Grunewald people to talk about how good life is even on the most rainy day while showing off their car keys. If needed a near by store will rent you Italian car keys for cars that don't really exist at very reasonable prices.
People watching a treat, the food decent and prices not too high especially if you own a Ferrari, or a Lamborghini or a Porsche.
Cork fee not bad so you can pick a wine bottle from the wine store next door. Don't forget to put keys on table so they know you are a member, no members' discount though, after all you own a f-ucking Ferrari for Pete sake.

Die Location ist schön und auch das Ambiente ist gut. Das Essen (vor allem die Zitronen-Crêpes) sind nicht schlecht, aber bitte? In jedem Essen ein Haar? Das stand so nicht auf der Karte Ich war zwei Mal im Eiffel und werde sicher nicht wieder hingehen. Der Tee hat hier leider auch nicht die beste Qualität und das werden vielleicht nur Frauen verstehen wieso gibt es bitte keine Bügel an der Garderobe?
