Feetup Mellow Eco

What can I say? I have never stayed at a hostel until this. I'm pretty much a 5 star type of gal so this was kind of like camp for me. Plus there was a distinct age gap between myself and most of the other parties utilizing the facility.

I will give a candid overview of what this hostel has to offer.

PROS:
- Excellent staff. Carolina and Heath were the main two employees that were there during my five night stay there. Carolina was always smiling and willing to help me with EVERYTHING. Heath was incredibly funny and equally as hospitable. (5 stars for them)
- Clean accomodations. Noticed what must have been an hourly employee check up for bathrooms. I also had to fly out early and witnessed Carolina herself cleaning the floors with a mop at 0430.
- Beautiful view of the city. Since you are at the top of a hill, you can see everything.
- Free sheets and blankets.
- Ample room to hang out.
- Next to bus line.
- WIFI!!!
- Movie selection.
- There is ample place to lock up your belongings.

CONS:
- You are on top of the city. You will sweat like a dog if you are unaware of how exactly to get there and do not use the bus line to get there. Options are stairs, or winding trek up streets.
- You are not in the city center (which for some like myself is not a con as you will get to walk a bit with the locals)
- Stairs. Stairs. and more stairs. or Uphill walking; walking. walking.
- Everything is a blasted deposit!
- The free breakfast that was advertised on the website that I booked on, was not free. And it was not very delicious or a reasonable price after walking down to Maragall and having a sample of what I could have for the same price.


Overall, I would probably stay here again with less expectation (paying for less people per room) and just hope that the crowd that was there day to day changed for the better. You never know what punk kid checking in will want to have their extreme European vacation and live the when in Barcelona fantasy and just be incredible disrespectful of those around them. Otherwise, you may meet a few incredibly cool people and stay in an affordable option while seeing an amazing city!

amazing hostal
I was in Barcelona for 2 weeks and I passed my 4 last days in this hostel,
My choice was a little bite random, and I was lucky. The way the hostal is built it just make it so easy to meet the others. That is what I enjoyed the most. Apart from that everything was clean and staff pretty nice.

Good overall
This place really worth it. The price is cheap! it is a lovely hostel, good services, really clean and big kitchen. There is an amazing terrace and the staff is always ready to make sure everything is ok. Very good hostel.

really good place in Barcelona
the staff is nice, rooms are clean, the common area is perfect to meet other people. The hostal is at 10 minutes in metro from the center so it is not a problem. i had a great time.

Nice atmosphere, very clean and I loved hanging out in front of the hostel! I've travelled a lot and I can say that this hostel is one of the best hotels I've been, will definitely come again!
