Henry's Bar

Henry's Bar is a fairly small bar that popular with local university students.


There is a pool table in the bar that is located in an area which is slightly too small, so be prepared for some interesting 'up the wall' shots.


Henry's Bar is fine for your local pub but is not worth travelling any distance to.

Henry's is situated in a residential part of Exeter that has a high student population, for many it is on the route into town so it is a 'local' pub and a stop off on the way to a night club. It is popular with students but has many other regulars and can have an interesting mix of people. I have always found the atmosphere to be friendly and the bar staff are some of the most pleasant and helpful I have ever come across. If you are on this side of town, pop in for a drink, you'll be sure of a welcome and a chat.

Good for a quiet drink or to watch the football - they have all the games on usually. Bar staff friendly, good selection of liquor and whisky (as I remember...). And it's open late. If you're looking for somewhere a bit livelier you only have a short walk into the town centre. Definitely a good pub tho
