I ordered a private room on hostelworld for one person for 25 euro. It charged me for two because they don't have rooms for one person ... They should change that, they just blame hostelworld, but really it's something they could change by calling hostelworld. I'm confident they base everything on a survey etc.
The place is huge and has big groups staying, so it's not your normal hostel. A group of at least 50 retired Italians were here when I arrived.
The staff are friendly, helpful, although not great.
The food is cafeteria quality... No fresh fruit.. Only canned. Other stuff follows suit... Processed food made enmasse.
Located close to the Campo train station!! Very easy bus ride into town. 1.20 euro each way and comes every 10 minutes from a couple spots.
Shower was in the room, but toilet was down the hall. Little odd, although fine. Not busy or dirty. Ok.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Samantha M.Londra, Regno Unito66622718 gen 2016
7 Santi is a decent hostel in Florence. It's somewhat out of the city centre so needs a taxi or transport to get into the town. It's clean and the staff are nice. One thing I didn't like is that there's only one key for each room, makes things a bit difficult and awkward. Staff are also concerned about noise so if you're there with a big group that can be a bit annoying! Overall a comfortable place to stay.

I highly recommend Hostel 7 Santi for any young students or professionals who want an affordable and clean place to stay. We stayed in a a private room with a private bathroom. It was definitely bare bones as far as decor goes, but really--if you're in Florence the decor in your room shouldn't be a huge priority (and if it is, shame on you.)
The hostel came with free Wifi, which was great for planning spontaneous tours when the rain spoiled our bike trip. There is a bar and buffet dinner that comes out each night in the courtyard, which was a really nice touch. The 5 Euro breakfast buffet was key too.
It was a short bus ride (#17 bus) from the hostel to the main hubs of Florence including the Santa Maria Novella train station. The hostel also has a community fridge that you can use to store any treats you pick up along the way.
Definitely check this place out if you're wanting an affordable place to stay!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
