Sew & Go

I needed a new zip for my trousers and they showed me the few models they had available. I chose one of them and they told me my trousers would be ready in 4 days. When I went to collect them, they hadn't changed the zip and they told me that was because I didn't choose the zip
model. I had to choose it again and when I came to collect the trousers for the second time the job it wasn't properly made. It cost me £12.5 for a ver bad job. I won't go again and I do not recommend it to anybody.

I took a well-loved and well-worn shift dress here after an over-zealous party experience where the dress ended up ripped, right along the front waist seam. With nothing to lose (the dress was a write-off anyway), I took it to Sew.


For just £8 the dress looks as good as it did before I drank all the vodka and danced too much.


I am so impressed - a massive thumbs up - so happy to have found a tailor / seamstress you can most certainly trust.

Altered 2 pairs of Jeans too short (they measured and pinned them themselves)
Promised to make the same finish at bottom of jeans but didnt (charged extra for it)
Then Took over 1 month to respond to request to resolve situation.

I took two dresses to be altered and both were taken up too much - more than had been agreed in the fitting one week prior to collecting the dresses. When questioned, the member of staff (the same as the one who had fitted the dress) seemed not to care less and somewhat aggressively argued that she had taken up the dresses as we had agreed. She asked for payment ahead of me trying the dresses - not caring for me to make sure that they were okay. She seemed unimpressed when I asked to try the dresses on in the fitting room and, while I was trying them on, she hurried me twice, coming into the room to tell me that there was a queue of people waiting (no one else was in the store when I had arrived so they cannot have been waiting long). Further to this, she charged more than quoted on the receipt, claiming that she had mistakenly charged too little when she issued the receipt a week earlier. Overall, this was an unpleasant and disappointing experience and I would not recommend. I have left with two dresses that are too short and having paid more than I was quoted.
