"You must go to the Beadman"
I always get greeting cards, tie-dye tops & jewelry there. So this is the haul from my last visit. A tie-dye tee shirt that reminds me of watermelon & summer, a tie-dye top that is so soft to the touch & matching dichroic blue earrings & a pendant of the tree of life that I in there at Christmas. So happy they still had it. Also 2 sterling silver rings, I have 3 spinner rings now. The owner helped with the jewelry & Jamie & Athena helped with the tie-dye. I was there a couple of hours as I'm not in Redding very often.

Sold me a fake silver penchant for $55. Unfortunately, I live elsewhere so I can't go in person to get a refund. Wouldn't recommend going here for authentic silver jewelry (necklaces, rings, penchants, etc.). My necklace started turning red/rusting after a few weeks.

I've been very upset for the past two days. I am 50, but I like to think that I look young for my age. I am told I look 40 but think that with the Botox I look 45. Unfortunately, I was buying an earring back for $1 and the associate asked me if I happened to be 55 as there was a discount. Would it be worth it to ask that for saving ten or twenty cents? I also dress quite young and am fit, so it was a double whammy coming from an associate that was no spring chicken themselves. See the recent comment from Sarah M. about the lack of service.

I went into the beadman and I seem to notice the younger staff is very nice, but this one lady working really rubbed me the wrong way. I tried something on and she told me I really shouldn't be wearing it, she was constantly hustling me to let her take my items to the front desk as soon as I expressed interest in anything. I didn't feel I had any privacy in my conversation with my partner with me. idk if I wasn't dressed right or what but it really felt like she was assuming I was going to steal. Just because I was wearing one of there necklaces for a minute. Very rude and judgmental the way she looked and talked to me. This isn't the first time I've felt uncomfortable by some of the people working in this store.

I am sorry You had a bad experience. We encourage our employees to give you a basket or take the items and put them behind the counter especially if there's something fragile. We also think if your hands are free it makes it easier to look at different items. Again I'm sorry you had a bad experience.

First time visiting this store we were in town running errands and wanted to get some sage and incents. There has been a lot of recent advertising for this store and so we decided to go check it out! Upon entering we were greeted by a women at the cashier. Shortly after we came in another individual came in after us the women and Another young girl who was working at the bead section both greeted this man and the younger girl asked him if there was anything in particular she could help him find I really thought she was talking to us and as I turned around to ask her where the sage was i realized she was not talking to us at all she avoided all eye contact with us and we made our way to find what we were looking for. Two more people came in the store and one after the other we noticed both these women greet the ppl entering the store and once again the younger girl asked if she could assist them in anything. I then realized maybe because my husband and I are Latinos that we were the only ones being treated differently than the others. I then immediately wanted to leave but my husband insisted we get wat we went for so we did and checked out with the lovely women at the cashier and once we left the younger girl once again gave us the cold shoulder and did not say good bye to us even when I had witnessed her saying good bye "thanks for coming in" to the other individuals that had also left the store and had not even made a purchase! This affected my husband and I after we left it made us feel really sad that we had been through that situation and possibly because of our ethnicity (I mean what else) Not sure if this young girl could be the owners daughter since its 'family owned' never the less it was definitely our last time ever going to that store and I have shared this experience with my family members so they avoid going through what we did.

HI Vanessa, I'm sorry you felt that way. We have had a high turn over of employees since Covid and training has been tougher for that reason. That is no excuse for us to not give you the better assistance. May I get the date & time of your visit so I can address the issue with the correct employees. .

The bead man has this awesome employee Adam Jacob ! You have questions you need answered about Specific crystals or rocks or jewelry or just have questions in general about the products this your go to person Adam is very knowledgeable he's in your go to guy ! Very friendly other employees could take note of his professionalism and act better

Most of my inventory of beads is from beadman! I highly recommend! I also come here because I have a 10% discount card. I live an hour away, but if I need beads I just email Athenna # of color, and the size of the beads and she will mail them to me!

I was in Redding for the weekend, it was my first time there. I went to the Beadman because it was recommended to me. I heard they had shirts and candles. I was Facetiming my child to see what their input was on the candles. Right away, one of the clerks took the candles out of my hands and said it would be at the register. I was profiled. I am a POC. I looked at the other people (yt), they had stuff in their hands, and they were not approached. Needless to say, shame on them, and I will never go there again.

I'm sorry you felt that way. May I ask if it was a Glass Woodwick candle? We have had some broken candles lately also we try to keep customers hands free to continue shopping. I will remind the staff to offer baskets before offering to place items behind the counter.

Last Saturday I took my daughter and my husband into the store to get new chains for our necklaces. I was greeted by a wonderful woman that pointed us directly to the jewelry counter where another young lady immediately began helping us. She was knowledgeable, friendly and not pushy. The store is so clean, prices are clearly marked and the atmosphere is so happy! Upon check out I was given a discount card and really made to feel special even though it was my first visit. My chains are exactly what we wanted and I will definitely be back for some salt lamps and dream catchers really soon!
