The Darkside

It's been over a year before Bruce finally disputed my comments on his horrible little business. Not only does he lie he treats the customers terribly. Yelling, cursing etc. The guy has mental problems and moving his location isn't going to change his business practices. It's really wonderful that they tore down the eye sore place on the down town location. There are so many places selling the same merchandise at prices a lot cheaper. You will never see me going to that awful place. Thanks Bruce for your late response but your comments simply support my YELP comments about you and your business. Please check into some mental health help

Went in to replace a defective item that was purchased less than 2 weeks ago. The owner refused replacement, said they sold "quality products" (they do not) and began hurling racial insults. I should have known better when I saw there were 0 customers in his store at 3PM. There are better businesses, and better people, that actually stand by their products. DO NOT purchase from this fraud!

Dark side is the worst place to go. I want to get my suicidal tendencies hats. Other crazy things that I would like that the dark side should have like it used to. But no the employees are very rude. They actually buy the stuff before it's even put out on the shelf so you don't even have a chance to buy it. I would like to talk to upper Management. I wish they knew what was really going on there. The dark side back in the day was the best. Now it seems like it's just another statistic

These are the rudest people I've ever met. Never coming back here again. Zero help. I bought a beautiful pipe from them last year. It broke so I was hoping they might have it in stock again. There were 3 people at the counter, two men and a woman. I ask if they have this specific pipe in stock and described the very distinguishable design it had, hoping it might ring a bell. The woman repeats my design to the guy in what I assume was an attempt at whispering and laughed at me. She starts pointing at random pipes that don't fit the detailed, distinguishable description I'm giving her whatsoever and rolls her eyes when it's none of them. Like, I understand if they don't have it in stock anymore but it's not ridiculous to ask. And I also understand they're probably all stoned, but c'mon. Not giving them my business anymore. I'm going to Chico next time I need to buy a pipe.

Poor location, hard to access. The store is cluttered and the staff are unknowledgeable. I haven't got a tattoo there but I've bought smoking items. Poor selection and the prices are a bit high. Wish they carried bubble bags and more vaporizers. Buddies of the staff tend to loiter in the store. I don't get a comfortable feeling when I come in. I try to run in and run out.

my fiance got a tat done there recently, the quality of the tat was good. Line work, art & colors I would give 4stars. He knew what he wanted going in & Mike drew it up quick and gave us an excellent price. The equipment was clean & sterile, however the shop look run down & dirty to me, very messy.

I have no tattoos myself but went with the idea of also getting one. Once I saw the tattooist I changed my mind real quick, he was crude and shared stories of being hung over & mis-spelling someones tat recently. Another friend heard the same story from him w/ the addition that he told the consumers it wasn't a good day for him to do the tat in the first place but they wouldnt take no for answer.

Also he took us as a walk-in knowing it overlapped into his next appointment making them wait and extra 30-45 minutes.

But like I said the tattoo itself is very good work so if you dont mind the mess & lack of professionalism then it's worth the money you save to go there.

All the other reviewers must have this dark side mixed up with the one in Red Bluff or another head shop, because every time I come in here I have always been treated with a happy smile and everyone is super knowledgeable and happy to help me. And of course the pieces are expensive depending on what brand you get, that should be obvious. But they usually have a 50% off case. :) I love this shop and have bought many wonderful pieces from here!

So the owner of this store has chosen to contact me about my negative review three years after I wrote it. I wonder if they chose to wait so long in the hopes that I would have forgotten the details of my experience. I have not and never will forget the rude introduction I got when trying to enter this store.

I was sent a message that began with laughing at me and proceeded to imply that I was lying about my age and/or mistaken about what store I was in entirely. The lack of professionalism was appalling to say the least.

I had purchased a glass piece before xmas as a gift and it broke. They replaced the piece and are always so kind and informative! Loyal customer for sure.

Came in to buy a few things walked into a store with two other customers and the workers seemed to preoccupied to answer some questions. He just started helping another customer then later came back and took the piece I was asking about and threw it on the ground behind him. Don't think I'll be going back after this visit... It kept getting worse and worse and now it just feels like a task to go and look around. If you don't care about making money or helping your customers then don't expect to have any... And commenting on the older reviews trying to discredit them is a joke you guys deserve one star or less get over it.
