Not recommended. We reserved a driver with the hotel, and he picked us up on time in a clean Mercedes van which was a good start. However, everything went downhill from there. Least favorite hotel we've stayed at within the hotels offered by British Airways. 1 glass to drink out of in the room. No ice anywhere. No air conditioning after October 1 (which was not disclosed) but the staff keeps themselves comfortable with A/C in their lobby. Restaurant only open 2 days in October (also not disclosed). Bar not open either. Rooms hot as hell. Impersonal attitude of the staff. There was much noise coming from certain citizens yelling for hours at night outside the hotel, and the military police were sitting outside watching one night. And then if that wasn't enough, we reserved a van (specifically asked for a van for 4 passengers with 4 large bags), and they gave us a small taxi wagon. We had to hold several pieces of luggage in our laps on the 1/2 hour trip to the airport. Completely unacceptable for what was advertised on British Airways as a 4 star hotel. We stayed 1 night in both Florence & Venice at Star Hotels during our stay, and they were both lovely with open restaurants, open bars, and good A/C.
